Ryze is a slot game developed by ELK Studios, played on a 6-reel grid featuring 5 to 6 offset columns. The game utilises dropping symbols and cluster win mechanics to create varied gameplay dynamics. Players can place bets ranging from a minimum of £0.20 to a maximum of £4.00, with each spin corresponding to a bet of 100 coins.

Rules and How to Play

  • A game round begins at the chosen bet level when the player selects the spin button.
  • Winning clusters must consist of five or more matching symbols that are connected either vertically or horizontally. Only the largest connected cluster of identical symbols pays out.
  • Winnings and winning combinations are determined in accordance with the paytable.
  • Players can display winnings in either their own currency or coins. This preference can be adjusted in the Settings menu.

Gameplay Mechanics

  • Symbols in Ryze drop vertically due to gravity and can slide left or right, proceeding downwards as far as possible. All symbols, except wild symbols, are able to fall through wild symbols.
  • Ryze can be played in both normal and bonus modes, with bonus mode featuring free drops.
  • All cluster wins from a symbol drop are collected. Upon a win, the symbols that made up the winning combination explode. Remaining symbols then fall vertically, and new symbols enter from above to fill empty spaces.

Special Features

  • A cluster composed only of payout symbols—excluding coins—produces a x1 Multiplier Wild in one of the vacant positions left after the win.
  • The Multiplier Wild's multiplier value increases by 1 each time it forms part of a winning cluster and it relocates to a newly vacant position created by the removed winning symbols.
  • When multiple Multiplier Wilds are part of a single cluster, their multipliers are combined, with the total then applied to the cluster win.
  • The Multiplier Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except for bonus and burst symbols.

Coins, Burst Symbols and Multipliers

  • Coins display a value equivalent to a multiple of the bet. When a cluster of coin symbols lands, the aggregate coin value is awarded, and this total value is assigned to a new coin left behind after the cluster is cleared.
  • The burst symbol acts as a blocker that, at the end of a game round (when no further moves are possible), transforms itself and neighbouring symbols into the same payout symbol or into coins.

Bonus Game Features

  • When a bonus symbol reaches the bonus key mould beneath the grid, it triggers the bonus game, awarding 7 free drops.
  • If a bonus symbol lands on a super bonus key mould, it initiates the super bonus game, also providing 7 free drops. During the bonus games, both bonus symbols and Multiplier Wilds remain sticky between free drops.
  • Obtaining a bonus symbol at the bonus key mould during a bonus game grants an additional 3 free drops.

Game End, Winnings and Malfunctions

  • The bonus and super bonus games conclude when either all free drops have been used or the win cap is achieved.
  • Winnings accumulated during bonus rounds are paid out upon the conclusion of the bonus mode.
  • Players cannot alter their bet during an active game round.
  • The maximum win in Ryze is capped at 10,000 times the placed bet.
  • In the case of a malfunction, both bets and winnings are rendered void.
